Programs & Services
PHG Urban Life Center Mission Statement:
The purpose of the PHG Urban Life (Community) Center is to provide a variety of services that intentionally enrich lives and meet the needs of people in the metro Detroit area.

At the PHG Urban Life Center serving the community is what we do best. Through programs like our Clothing and Food pantry, we go the extra mile to help our clients make ends meet. Clients visiting our clothing pantry will find an array of attractive, clean, seasonal clothing and footwear. Our food pantry provides a variety of free, delicious, nutritious food on a monthly basis and in times of emergency. We also offer information regarding community programs staffed by caring professionals and organizations, ready to serve. The help you need is just a phone call away.
Family Resource Center
The PHG ULC Family Resource Center collaborates with licensed social workers, and various community services such as 211 to provide referral and resource information to the community regarding medical, mother & baby assistance, senior citizens support, individual and family needs. Clients are encouraged to call our office to find out about the services that the PHG Urban Life Center can connect them with.

Community Health Program
We work with many health organizations and health professionals such as Karmanos Cancer Institute, Detroit Community Health Connection and others to conduct seminars and health fairs bringing medical resources & information to our clients many times free of charge. Call our office to hear about our upcoming seminars, or to receive literature.

Food & Clothing
The PHG ULC Family Resource Center collaborates with W.E. Breman & Company social work services to provide referral and resource information to the community regarding medical assistance and domestic violence help. Clients are encouraged to call our office to find out about the services that the PHG Urban Life Center offers.

Library & Reading Program:
The PHG Urban Life Center library, tutoring & reading program promotes literacy providing books, videos, reading and tutoring assistance that supports educational achievement. For grades k-12 and GED
PHG Urban Life Center Toy Chest of Love:
Through our Adopt-A-Family for Christmas program, and other seasonal collaborations, such as being a distribution site for the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Christmas program, we provide an avenue for financially challenged families to provide new toys and other gifts for their children at Christmas time.
